Sustainable Development Festival organized by ASviS
The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS) organizes from next 22 September to 8 October the Sustainable Development Festival over a period of 17 days, as many as the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda. It represents a further step to encourage the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and constitutes a single widespread and inclusive event, comprising hundreds of events organized throughout the Italian national territory of Italy.
The Festival, created to raise awareness among growing segments of the population on social, economic and environmental sustainability in order to foster a cultural shift in individual and collective behaviors, and to stimulate “bottom-up” requests that commit the Country’s leadership to comply with the agreements undertaken in the UN, is a unique experience at international level that allows to reach millions of people in Italy every year thanks to the participation of hundreds of organizations all over the Country, the active role played by universities and the opening of "sustainable development squares” in a number of major Italian cities. Furthermore, the Festival wants to give voice to citizens, businesses, national and local administrations, universities and civil society in order to foster dialogue and the sharing of best practices on the issues of the 2030 Agenda.
A lot of initiatives such as conventions, debates, book presentations, exhibitions have been planned by the over 270 members of ASviS and of other civil society organizations that are active in Italy, aiming to raise awareness on the various aspects of SDGs in line with the spirit of civil society involvement promoted by the United Nations.
In its 2020 edition, the Festival expands its reach beyond Italy: ASviS invites everyone around the world to organize events in the context of the Sustainable Development Festival. StatisticALL - Statistics Festival
From next 18 to 20 September the Statistics Festival will take place in Treviso, Italy. The initiative, in continuity with the “Future”, the main theme of the last edition, presents as central theme of its 6th edition this year the following: “The world that will come. Ideas and measures to restart ".
The theme crosses the contents proposed by statisticians, economists, philosophers, sociologists, managers, psychoanalysts, innovators, communication and environmental experts. The path chosen to face and exit the crisis resulting from the health emergency is fundamental not only to build a future of sustainable well-being but also to make innovative choices, rationalize the use of natural resources, improve production mechanisms, consumption and social ones as a whole. The aim of the event is to analyze and tell the aftermath of CoViD-19 from different perspectives and to do this visions, proposals, reasoning and provocations on how to rebuild a new world are necessary.
This event is included among the initiatives organised within the ASviS Sustainable Development Festival.
